a. The Central Government hereby exempts Services by way of renting of a room in a hotel, inn, guest house, club, campsite or other commercial place meant for residential or lodging purposes and Services provided in relation to serving of food or beverages by a restaurant, eating joint or mess to any person in the State of Uttarakhand, from the whole of service tax leviable thereon.

b. Online ST 3 Return for April 2013 To September 2013 now available for filing in both online & offline version.

c. Separate enrolment of Profession Tax is required to be obtained by each branch or office or place of work in West Bengal of any organization engaged in any profession, trade, calling or employment; and, Profession Tax shall be payable against each enrolment number.

d. Trade circular for problems relating to Composition Scheme under WBVAT Act for 2013-14 issued by Government of West Bengal

e. CBEC issues clarification on Service Tax VCES Scheme

f. 98 sections of The Companies Act 2013 are applicable from 12th September, 2013 onwards

g. Form No. 15CA relating to any payment chargeable to income tax (to a non-resident, not being a company or to a foreign company) is available from 01/10/2013 on e-Filing portal

h. Due Date for filing of ITR extended from 30/09/2013 to 14/10/2013 in the case of Income tax assessees in the State of Gujarat

i. Extension of date for receipt of ITR-Vs in CPC. Bengaluru, upto 31st October 2013 for returns of AY 2011-12 and AY 2012-13 e-Filed in FY 2012-13

j. CBDT extended the due date for filing Returns of Income from 31st July, 2013 to 5th August, 2013
